Beit Ula is a Palestinian town in the Hebron Governorate of the southern West Bank, located about 10 kilometers northwest of Hebron. With a population of roughly 14,000 residents, the town lies on fertile highlands and is well known for its agriculture, especially olive and almond cultivation, in addition to livestock farming. Many residents also depend on employment in nearby cities or within the Palestinian Authority institutions. Beit Ula faces ongoing challenges from the Israeli occupation, including the confiscation of agricultural lands for settlement expansion and the construction of the separation wall, which has isolated farmers from parts of their fields and restricted their movement. Despite these pressures, Beit Ula has maintained its strong agricultural traditions and community life, with local initiatives and solidarity efforts helping farmers remain on their land and protect their livelihoods.
