Makboula Hasan Khateeb, is a 67 years old Palestinian farmer, with 11 family members. Planting olive trees is very important for each Palestinian because of their cultural significance, history in Palestine, and representation of the Palestinian people's connection to their land and culture, as well as the economic benefits and political opposition as a result of what is going on in Palestine. Tarek received 75 olive trees from the Olive Tree Campaign to help him stay on his land and keep hope alive.
Majdal Bani Fadil is a village located southeast of Nablus in the northern West Bank, with a population of 2,346 people and an area of 6,651 dunums (1644 acres), of which 4,275 dunums (1056 acres) are arable land. The agricultural sector faces challenges such as a lack of financial support, resources, and water sources. The village's land is classified as 18% Area B and 82% Area C, where Israel has full control. Two Israeli colonies (settlements), "Itamar" and "Rechalim", are constructed on part of the village land and considered illegal under international law.
