Ahmad Mohammad Salawda, is a 36 years old Palestinian farmer, who has five family members and owns 5 dunums (1.25 acres) of land that is only 1 km away from the Israeli colony (settlement) of "Kida. " Ahmad stated that land and olive trees are essential resources for Palestinian farmers, as they are a critical source of income, food, and cultural heritage. In Palestine, agriculture is a vital sector that provides employment and sustenance to a significant portion of the population. Land and olive trees serve as the foundation of Palestinian agriculture, with olive trees being the most widely cultivated crop in the country. Sad to say, by 2022, Ahmad 's land had been attacked by Israeli settlers, who cut down 70 olive trees. However, he stated that he will remain committed to his land and plant it all over again. The Olive Tree Campaign provided Ahmad with 100 olive trees to support him and enable him to continue taking care of his land.

Duma is a Palestinian village situated in the Nablus Governorate in the West Bank, located about 20.3 km southeast of Nablus city at an elevation of 615 m above sea level. As per the 2007 census, the village had a population of 2,067 Palestinians, with roughly equal numbers of males and females. The total area of Duma is around 18,318 dunums (4526 acres), out of which 4,806 dunums (1188 acres) are arable. The agricultural sector in Duma faces numerous challenges, including a lack of agricultural roads, water resources, capital for investment, and veterinary services. The high cost of agricultural inputs, particularly feed, is also causing difficulties for farmers. Moreover, the lack of economic feasibility for agricultural investment is discouraging farmers from pursuing new opportunities. Duma's land is classified as Area B (5%) and Area C (95%). Nearby Israeli colonies (settlements) include "Ma'ale Efraim", situated approximately 4.5 kilometers to the east, and "Migdalim", located around 5 kilometers to the southeast.
