Hussain Mohammad Zein-Eddin, is a 52 years old Palestinian farmer with 6 family members, who owns land in Majdal Bani Fadil village. He received 50 olive trees from the Olive Tree Campaign to help him stay on his land and maintain hope. Hussain sees land and planting olive trees as the history of Palestine, representing the past, present, and future of the Palestinian people. He also recognizes the challenges they face, as their land is in Area C, which is under Israeli control, limiting their ability to use good agricultural methods, access water resources, and avoid settlement on their land. Nevertheless, planting olive trees symbolizes the resilience and determination of Palestinians to maintain their connection to their land and strive for justice and freedom in the future.

Majdal Bani Fadil is a village located southeast of Nablus in the northern West Bank, with a population of 2,346 people and an area of 6,651 dunums (1644 acres), of which 4,275 dunums (1056 acres) are arable land. The agricultural sector faces challenges such as a lack of financial support, resources, and water sources. The village's land is classified as 18% Area B and 82% Area C, where Israel has full control. Two Israeli colonies (settlements), "Itamar" and "Rechalim", are constructed on part of the village land and considered illegal under international law.
