Jaafar Ghalib Bani-Jaber, is a 32 years old young ambitious Palestinian farmer, who owns 9 dunums (2.25 acres) of land in Aqraba village, inherited from his father and grandfather. This land holds significant religious and cultural importance to Jaafar, making it an essential part of his family heritage. However, like many farmers in Palestine, Jaafar faces challenges such as water scarcity and land confiscation, which makes it hard for him to sustain his farming operations. To support farmers like Jaafar and promote the importance of the olive tree in Palestinian agriculture, the Olive Tree Campaign granted Jaafar with 100 olive trees. This support has not only strengthened Jaafar's economic status, but it has also empowered him to continue farming and preserve his family's traditions.

Aqraba is a town located southeast of Nablus in the West Bank. The town's population was recorded as 8,197 individuals in the 2007 census. The land area of Aqraba is around 51,442 dunums (12,860 acres), with a significant portion of 24,937 dunums (6,235 acres) dedicated to agriculture. However, the agricultural sector faces multiple challenges, including land confiscation, limited access to agricultural lands, lack of water resources, and insufficient capital. Applied Research Institute-Jerusalem (ARIJ) has reported that Israel has taken 1,085 dunums (272 acres) of land from Aqraba for the colonies (settlements) of 'Gitit' and 'Itamar'.
