Salih Yaseen Salih, is a 34 years old Palestinian farmer, is a lawyer with five family members who live in Yasuf village, and owns 2 dunums land (= 2000 m2), and the Olive Tree Campaign has provided him with 50 olive trees to help him stay on his land and keep hope alive. Olive trees are very important to all Palestinians because they tell their stories and serve as a symbol of resistance to Israeli occupation. Salih stated that in 2022, Israeli settlers attacked his land and cut down 20 olive trees. Finally, he expressed his gratitude for helping them and supporting every Palestinian with olive trees, and he requested that this support continue so they can keep their land safe.

Yasuf is a village located in the Salfeet Governorate, northeast of the city of Salfeet. The village has a population of 1,600 people, with 818 males and 782 females, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics' 2007 census. Yasuf is known for its olive tree planting, but faces challenges such as settler attacks on farmers, land confiscation by Israeli occupation forces, and overgrazing pastures by settlers. Additionally, the Israeli occupation has released wild boar herds on agricultural lands, which further harms the agriculture sector. Yasuf is adjacent to the Israeli colony (settlement) of "Kfar Tapuach", and in 2014, Israeli settlers from "Taffouh" colony (settlement) destroyed around 100 olive trees in Yasuf.
